Biostat® Study
About 4 million people in the United States suffer annually because of chronic or ongoing low back pain due to disc disease. Scientists and doctors continue to study and investigate methods for diagnosing and treating this debilitating disease. Dr. Yin and Bellingham Spine Pain Specialists are one of 15 centers in the United States that are participating in the FDA regulated, multi-center phase III study of the Biostat® system. We have made multiple presentations to physicians, mid-level professionals, chiropractors and physical therapists in the Northwest region discussing this exciting study and enrollment remains open to potential participants that would meet the eligibility requirements. Once participants have been accepted for the study, costs associated with the study will be borne by the sponsoring organization. For more information on this phase III study, please visit the study site at www.lowbackstudy.com or call Carmin Stuit, RN, Study Coordinator at (360) 527-8111.
